Football Rankings: NFL Power Ratings & College Top 25
Start with FSN’s original computer models, then compare the college Top 25 with the AP ballot. The dedicated NFL and college pages carry the full rankings so each search intent has one clear authority URL.
All 32 teams ranked by opponent-adjusted strength, EPA efficiency, résumé, schedule context and recent form.
An original college football computer ranking built from team power, opponent quality, résumé and schedule strength.
The AP Top 25 stays visible for comparison, but it never feeds the FSN computer score.

How FSN Rankings Work
Power, efficiency and résumé
FSN combines opponent-adjusted neutral-field team strength, current EPA efficiency when available, strength-of-record, recent opponent-adjusted form, schedule context, and an early-season prior that fades as current results accumulate. Head-to-head breaks near-ties.
Opponent-aware Top 25
FSN College Top 25 combines current opponent-adjusted power (50%), strength-of-record/résumé (40%), and recent performance versus expectation (10%). Opponent strength is recursive and embedded in power, résumé and form. A prior-season FSN baseline controls tiny September samples and fades completely after five FBS games. Weak/FCS wins provide no résumé bonus, FCS losses are heavily penalized, blowout value has diminishing returns, and head-to-head/common opponents/SOS resolve genuine near-ties. AP ranking never enters the formula.
Not standings, not a copied ballot
Raw record is never enough. FSN asks who a team played, how it performed, how difficult that schedule was and how much evidence the current-season sample actually provides.
