Choose a franchise and a starting situation. Review its roster, cap and draft picks. Every rival has its own roster and strategy in the same fictional league.
Negotiate trades and free-agent contracts. Rivals consider their needs, strategy and cap. Review the assets and financial impact before committing, or use undo to explore a different path.
Run a seven-round draft with all 32 teams competing for the same prospects. Traded picks follow their new owners. Finalize a 53-player roster and review what changed in each position group and your future cap.
The $301.2 million cap uses the 2026 league base. Individual team adjustments are not modeled. The $8 million reserve, position minimums, ratings, asking prices and rookie costs are game assumptions. All roster salaries count throughout this game; the NFL offseason top-51 rule is not implemented.
Contracts have base salary and bonus proration. Cuts use a simplified pre-June 1 model: remaining bonus plus current guaranteed base becomes dead money. Restructures convert half of eligible current base to bonus across remaining contract years. Trades leave remaining bonus charges with the sender; base salaries and current guarantees transfer. Next-year room assumes a flat cap and includes the game and future-pick reserves; it is a planning figure, not an enforced future cap or official projection.
This release covers one offseason, with player/pick trades, salary-and-term offers, up to three CPU free-agency rounds and 224 league draft selections. Rivals respond to your trade proposals with acceptance, rejection or a pick-based counteroffer; autonomous CPU-to-CPU trading is not implemented. There is no playoff bracket, full league season, practice squad, June 1 designation, incentive system, compensatory picks, franchise tag, fifth-year option or career progression yet.
Draft order is fictional: weaker starting rosters pick earlier, with the same order each round. Future pick slots are fixed projections, not a forecast. All unsigned owned picks carry a game rookie reserve, which moves with a trade and becomes salary when the selection is made. Scouting estimates can differ from true player ratings by up to five points. CPU draft decisions use those estimates and current team needs.
No licensed roster or contract feed is bundled. A real-roster mode needs an approved source with redistribution rights, stable player IDs, a dated roster snapshot, full salary/bonus/guarantee schedules, dead-cap rules, team cap adjustments and draft-pick ownership. Existing DFS salaries are contest prices, not NFL contracts.
Finalizing also trims CPU rosters to 53. A 17-matchup illustration compares your roster with finalized rivals using a simple rating model and a small home advantage. This is not an NFL schedule, league standings, a forecast, or the existing FSN prediction model. The offseason report is the primary result.
