SportsLine has released its 2026 fantasy football rankings, and the model’s simulation of the season 10,000 times points to Chargers running back Omarion Hampton as a top breakout candidate. According to cbssports.com, Hampton is projected with an ADP of No. 18 in drafts.

A durable rookie with high upside

Hampton played in just nine games last season due to injury before finishing with 737 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns. Despite that shortened campaign, the model highlights his college durability, noting he did not miss a game over his last two years at UNC.

The model’s track record

This prediction builds on SportsLine’s history of identifying sleepers before they pop off. The model previously predicted Panthers receiver Tetairoa McMillan would outperform his ADP (WR28) last year, and McMillan finished as WR17 in CBS Sports PPR leagues with 70 grabs for 1,014 yards and seven scores.

The model also has a track record of correctly identifying A.J. Brown’s breakout in 2020 and Jonathan Taylor’s monstrous season in 2021. That history adds weight to the Hampton call as fantasy managers prepare for the upcoming draft season.

What comes next

Fantasy draft season is heading for its conclusion with NFL roster cuts now complete. Managers should monitor Hampton’s training camp availability and early-season snap count in Week 1 against the Patriots to confirm if he can translate his college durability into consistent NFL production.
